Switzerland’s producer landscape
Switzerland has both CBD hemp producers and licensed producers of cannabis for medical purposes. Both belong to the cannabis industry, but different product and establishment requirements apply. Medical cannabis production is already a regulated sector: Swissmedic oversees the authorisation and control system and documents establishment licensing for cultivation for medical purposes. This is distinct from a general opening of non-medical trade.
